Ingredients in DOLID Tablet act as:
⢠Relieves nociceptive pain (vedanaâhara) by (1) Lowering the stimulation of pain nerve endings (antiâ nociceptive action) possibly by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, phospholipase A2, interleukinâ1β and interleukinâ8; (2) Blocking the pain signals in the spinal cord and brain; and (3) Binding of the acetyl and benzoyl esters to the sodium channels and thus activating the influx of sodium ions through cell membrane.
⢠Antiâinflammatory (shothaâhara)
Dosage:
⢠Adults: 2 tabs stat, followed by 1â2 tabs 4â6 hrly or SOS. Taper off on improvement.
⢠Children (6â9 yrs): 1â4â 1â2 of adult dose, in crushed form.
⢠To be taken just after meals.
Precautions:
Pregnancy, lactation, children below 6 yrs, APD, gastritis, low BP, low heart rate, heart failure / low LVEF, advanced liver / kidney diseases, hyperâsensitivity to ingredients, and along with other analgesics and antiâpyretic drugs.
